I wanted nothing more than to go cold turkey with my pulling. With every hair I pulled I thought to myself, "this will be the last hair ever I pull." Twenty years of trichotillomania later, I can definitively say that there has been no "last hair."

I had one New Years resolution for 2018 - to stop pulling my eyelashes. We’re halfway into March, and I can say that allergy season has bested me once again in this battle. 

“How do you keep your hair pulling under control?” 

Up until recently, I believed my deepest (and I mean deepest) and darkest secret was my trichotillomania. I always shied away from questions or conversations surrounding secrets as a child.

I shaved my head a month ago! After turning off the camera, sweeping up all my hair, and coming to terms with the fact that my hair wasn’t coming back anytime soon, my experience as a bald-headed woman quickly became centered around the sensation of having a naked scalp.
